Job Description:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/MILITARY SALES
This company has provided the military and other government and private organizations with high quality, state of the art communications products for almost twenty years. They are involved in cutting edge voice communication products and manufacture rugged voice communications and signaling products for use in hostile environments. The client designs, manufactures, and tests amplified loudspeaker systems, communications kits, signaling horns, dynamic microphones and earphones, gas block cables and audio transformers. The company is currently experiencing phenomenal growth and is looking for the right candidate with a “take charge” attitude. Skills - History of developing markets and products for military applications.
- Ability to develop and implement business development plans.
- Proven experience in making presentations to major OEM’s (ie Rayteon,Harris, Tadiran, BAE, ITT, etc)
- Working knowledge of Defense Logistics Agency and the buying/specifying offices.
- Understand and be familiar with field radios and the radio environment.
- Able to market legacy products and launch a new line of intercom and smart accessory products.
- Military experience with communications gear in either a signal corp or tactical field environment is a plus.
Requirements: - Prepare a detailed business plan to guide operations in accomplishing goals and objectives.
- Network with business people establishing a network.
- Attend workshops, trade shoes, and seminars to keep current with the industry.
- Nurture a team approach with company engineering, finance and others in pursuing common goals.
- Travel is a must
- In general, be responsible for growing profitable sales of the company through a well executed plan of action.
- MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MILITARY SALES TO DOD AND DLA
Possibility of working remotely from your location with frequent trips to home office on Long Island, NY. Pay range from 75,000 to 85,000 dollars per year with a possible 25% bonus of base contingent on level of accomplishing agreed goals.
