Process Engineering Manager

Location: Pittsburgh, PA USA

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage Process Group following guidelines of Performance Management and enforcing safety & housekeeping standards.

Lead the Process Group to assist and influence the global resin and coatings manufacturing operations to implement standardized resin manufacturing processes, i.e ?best practices? around the globe (priority is resin).

Provide troubleshooting support to Plant Manufacturing Process Engineers on a global basis.

Support global R&D function with new and innovative processing equipment and methods for emerging beyond the can technologies.

Support scale-up of new and existing resin and coatings R&D technologies into manufacturing.

Support scale-up of new products from Lab to Pilot Plant into manufacturing plants through commercialization.

Approval of alternate manufacturing processes used in Manufacturing.

Managing multiple resin and coatings scale-up projects.

Active participation on Technical Dept problem solving teams. Providing statistical support to Technical and Manufacturing departments.

International and domestic travel to accomplish all of the above.

Qualifications

B.S. Chemical Engineering required. Advanced degree and/or Green Belt preferred.

10 -15 years experience with reactor design, resin scale up and production required.

Proven track record of providing leadership, growth opportunities, and performance management of employees.

Must possess working understanding of reactor design, reaction kinetics, enthalpy calculations, milling / mixing technology.

Must possess computer Process Engineering Control competency and DOE knowledge.

Must possess mechanical ?hands-on? aptitude.

Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
