Join a world class operation for an immediate and critical need as Director of Pharmaceutical Business Development. The company is a custom molded rubber products manufacturer, serving the pharmaceutical, parenteral, clinical supplies, and medical device industries.
Key Functions and Position Responsibilities:
· Developing defined leads into prospects.
· Presenting company’s capabilities, to generate interest developing into RFQ’s.
· Evaluate opportunities in terms of profitability; providing value to customer.
· Work with internal and external engineering to develop project to proto-type stage.
· Nurture the project as needed.
· Close the business opportunity.
· Maintain customer loyalty.
· Understand and express cGMP/ISO criteria of our client to customer technical and business groups.
Position Requirements
· Prior experience sales experience (5-7 years) in pharmaceutical or medial device industry required.
· Substantial knowledge (3-5 years) elastomer or rubber engineering technology.
· Knowledge, understanding, and ability to explain cGMP and ISO criteria.
· Ability to partner with and develop relationships and customer companies, at varying levels within the organization.
· Ability to interact with Operations, Engineering, and QA, guiding projects from inquiry through development stages.
· Approximately 50% travel.
· Technical degree, with MBA or substantial sales and marketing experience.
