General Manager
Join an established company who is spearheading innovative technology in the state of the art treatment against cancer with proven results. This publically traded operation is world renown and a global leader in radiation therapy and is seeking a General Manager for operations in San Francisco, CA. A newly formed company that has teamed up with the client is focused on the development of the dielectric-wall accelerator (DWA) and its application to particle therapy and other fields of use. DWA technology will form the basis of a compact, high-gradient particle accelerator that is anticipated to be used in medical, security and defense applications.
The company is co-developing the compact proton therapy system with another company and collaborating with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) to optimize the DWA for particle therapy and other applications.
The General Manager will provide operational vision and leadership for the company through the guidance and oversight of the Research, Product Development, and Manufacturing functions. He or She will interface with all departments to ensure that company short and long-term objectives are met and that the organization is acquiring, developing and utilizing the talent and processes necessary for proper functioning and growth. The General Manager will lead both strategic and specific company-wide projects as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications:
*Bachelors Degree, MBA or equivalent preferred.
*20 years experience in research, development, manufacturing, engineering or operations management preferably with at least 5 years in the electronics, medical device, or pulse power industry.
*Extraordinary communication and people skills.
*At least 10 years general management experience with direct responsibility for P&L, research, product development, manufacturing and quality assurance essential.
