The Engineer provides technical information to the others working on a project to ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instruction; trouble-shoots engineering related installation problems; and acts as a liaison with the client or owner regarding the project process. The Controls Engineer will need both hands-on technical skills and Project Management experience.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for Company projects.
Operating computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
Directing and coordinating the construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
Performing detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
Inspecting completed installations and observing operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Preparing specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
Supervising and training project team members as necessary.

Required Experience:
The technical skills should include a direct program development using at least two of the following PLC vendor products:

Interested individuals MUST HAVE hands-on configuration experience (3+ years) with the Emerson DeltaV Distributed Control System preferably with Batch Module programming experience for process applications in the pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries.
Rockwell (Allen-Bradley)
Modicon
Siemens S7 series

GE Fanuc Series 90 In addition, direct system development using at least two of the following HMI vendor products:
Rockwell RsView32
Intellution iFIX
WonderWare
Siemens WinCC
Hands-on experience with Visual Basic or C++ to be valuable or the following DCS products:
Siemens PCS7 Preferred application areas would be:
Critical power systems to include power management, power monitoring, generator monitoring & control
SCADA experience in the water and/or waste water field
Security applications experience
Semiconductor and/or pharmaceutical
