Designer/Drafter - Join a Major $1.5B/yr. Manufacturing Firm


Join the world's leading manufacturer of cabin interior products for commercial passenger aircraft and business jets. The company has been leading worldwide market shares in most of its product lines and its customers include virtually all the world's airlines and aircraft manufacturers. The Company currently has an opening for a Designer/Drafter at their Aerospace Lighting Corporation in Holbrook, New York. The company is a leader in aircraft interior lighting systems providing the highest quality products and services worldwide.
• Designing, drafting and maintaining Engineering Drawings in Solid Edge and/or AutoCAD that include part number, product marking, product specification and artwork labeling.
• Creating and maintaining solid models files (linking)
• Writing and processing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Serving as liaison between Engineering and various departments to ensure technical changes are appropriately documented.
• Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve documentation systems to colleagues as required.
Qualifications include:
• Associates Degree in related field and/or technical training in a related field.
• 1 plus years related experience required.
• AutoCAD, Solid Edge, MS Word and Excel knowledge required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Solid attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
