Director of Brand Support Programs-

The Director of Brand Support Programs will be responsible for the continuous development of products that will have significant market impact and profitability. Project focus will include supporting existing brands via line extension projects, InstruServe (customs) group activities, and brand maintenance efforts. Director will also manage the CADD Systems requirement for the entire NPD organization to ensure optimal utilization of resources. Director must provide leadership and coaching to Product Development staff to ensure that high performance products are delivered on time. In addition, must continue to identify development opportunities for managers, engineers and designers to encourage personal and professional growth.

General Functions –
 Thoroughly understand the market dynamics, customer needs and competition.
 Recommend development projects and priorities.
 Effectively deploy company resources to achieve maximum development output.
 Recruit, develop and retain high performing engineers and designers.
 Build synergistic ties to other company personnel.
 Develop strong relationships with surgeon customers.
 Analyze new product concepts.
 Maintain a working understanding of quality systems and regulatory policies.

Education Requirements – Bachelor’s degree in engineering or biomedical sciences. Master’s preferred. Minimum eight (8) years experience in product development of implantable medical devices or medical instrumentation, preferably in the orthopedics field. Minimum five (5) years of management experience with a history of increased responsibility and success.
Skill Requirements – Must demonstrate good verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Excellent planning, organization and delegating skills. Must have ability to interface effectively with surgeon community, surgeon consultants, and Centerpulse affiliates. Project management experience. Knowledge of ISO and quality systems. Good computer skills.
